The rule would expand preventive services for Medicare beneficiaries, improve payments for primary care services and promote access to health care services in rural areas. New preventive health benefits include coverage for annual wellness visits for seniors and people with disabilities who depend on Medicare for their health care coverage. CMS will accept comments on the proposed rule until August 24, 2010. The new rule would take effect in 2011.
